Ryan wakes up to a call from Shelby O’Sullivan, the wife of the captain of the hockey team; she is 10 minutes away from the house. Shelby runs into Tess when she is dropping off food for Ryan, and Tess comes off as rude to Shelby but claims she is just having a bad day. While Tess, Ryan, and Shelby are in the kitchen, Tess’s phone rings multiple times, but she refuses to answer it, snapping at Ryan when he brings it to her attention. After Tess leaves, Shelby tells Ryan that she doesn’t seem like “WAG material” and warns him that Tess will break his heart.

Ilmari picks up Tess to meet with the three other members of the non-profit, and she tries hard not to start crying in front of him as Troy continues to call her. Tess ultimately admits to Ilmari that Shelby looks very much like Troy’s secretary, with whom she caught him cheating, so she was thrown by Shelby’s appearance moments before. 

Rachel told Ilmari that Tess might be having a hard day because the divorce papers were finally delivered to Troy, so he has promised to bring her right to Rachel when they are done with the meeting.
